Project Workflow

How It Works

1

Step Down

220V AC is stepped down to 14V AC using a center-tapped transformer.

2

Rectification

A Bridge Rectifier converts AC to pulsating DC. A capacitor filters ripples to get smooth DC.

Regulation

Voltage is regulated to approx 13.8V-14.4V, ideal for charging a 12V battery.

Auto Cut-Off

An Op-Amp/Relay circuit monitors voltage. Stops charging when battery reaches full level.
