MODEL FABRICATION

Steps to build your Smart City layout.

1

Base Layout

Use a large plywood or MDF board. Mark roads, residential zones, commercial zones, and green belts using paint.

2

Buildings

Construct skyscrapers using cardboard boxes or foam board. Add windows with translucent paper for lighting effects.

3

Smart Sensors

Install LDRs for street lights (Auto ON/OFF) and IR sensors for traffic density control. Connect to Arduino.

4

Renewables

Add dummy solar panels on roofs and mini windmills. Connect LEDs to show green energy generation.

Smart Control Logic

// Smart City Automation Code (Arduino) int LDR_Pin = A0; // Street Light Sensor int IR_Pin = 2; // Traffic Sensor int Light_Relay = 8; int Signal_LED = 9; void setup() { pinMode(Light_Relay, OUTPUT); pinMode(Signal_LED, OUTPUT); pinMode(IR_Pin, INPUT); Serial.begin(9600); } void loop() { // 1. Smart Street Lighting int lightVal = analogRead(LDR_Pin); if(lightVal < 500) { // It's Night digitalWrite(Light_Relay, HIGH); // Lights ON } else { digitalWrite(Light_Relay, LOW); // Lights OFF (Energy Saving) } // 2. Smart Traffic Management if(digitalRead(IR_Pin) == LOW) { // Car Detected digitalWrite(Signal_LED, HIGH); // Green Signal delay(5000); // Allow traffic } else { digitalWrite(Signal_LED, LOW); // Red Signal } }
