How to Make It?

Follow these simple steps to build your model.

1

Prepare Box

Use a clean pizza box. Cut a flap in the lid, leaving one side attached to act as a hinge.

Reflector

Wrap the inner side of the flap with Aluminum Foil. Keep it smooth to reflect sunlight.

3

Insulation

Cover the opening with Plastic Wrap to create a greenhouse effect. Line the bottom with Black Paper.

Cooking

Place food inside. Angle the flap towards the sun. Wait for the heat to rise and cook!

The Logic

Thermal Physics

Reflection

Aluminum foil reflects sunlight into the box, increasing light concentration.

Absorption

Black paper absorbs light energy and converts it into heat (Thermal Energy).

Greenhouse Effect

Plastic wrap lets light in but traps heat inside, raising the temperature.
