How to Make It?

Follow these simple steps to build your model.

The Landscape

Use a shoe box or cardboard base. Create mountains using crumpled paper or clay.

The Ocean

Paint the bottom blue or use blue cellophane paper to represent the sea/lake.

Clouds & Sun

Stick cotton balls for clouds. Make a sun using yellow paper. Hang them using thread.

Labeling

Use arrows to show direction. Label 'Evaporation', 'Condensation', etc. clearly.

The Science

Hydrologic Cycle

Evaporation

Sun's heat turns liquid water from oceans into water vapor (gas), which rises up.

Condensation

Water vapor cools down high in the sky and turns back into tiny liquid droplets, forming clouds.

Precipitation

When clouds get too heavy, water falls back to Earth as rain, snow, or hail.
